The Casa Limiar – Associação de Apoio à Criança e Família Substituta (Association for Child and Substitute Family Support) is an independent, non-profit non-governmental organization that aims to provide shelter for children and adolescents in situations of vulnerability and risk when their basic rights are threatened or violated. Limiar promotes support and referrals to the necessary assistance and family reintegration when applicable. In this way, Limiar believes in partnerships that align with the values and contribute to the execution of the Mission Statement.
The work carried out aims at the realization of our mission and the defense of the safety and well-being of the children and adolescents under our care. The organization relies on these fundamental values to uphold its reputation, quality, integrity, and respect for the fundamental rights of children and adolescents as per the Child and Adolescent Statute (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – ECA).
